Description

Leading organisation in the railway electrification sector requires Carbon and Energy Specialists to based out of either the Glasgow or Doncaster areas.  Given the drive for carbon reduction in the rail sector, this is an important position.

Responsibilities:

  • Come up with strong approaches to carbon measurement across the company
  • Identify best practices within the industry for carbon reduction (CaRe)
  • Work with stakeholders across the business and understand their role in the carbon reduction scheme
  • Create the metrics by which the company can measure its progress in carbon reduction
  • Help the business understand how their carbon footprint can be reduced
  • Review company progress and report back on energy efficiency / energy saving initiatives

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the field of energy efficiency and carbon reduction would be beneficial
  • Experience in project coordination and data management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organisational and IT skills
  • Degree (or equivalent) in a STEM subject, particularly Energy Management or Energy Engineering
