Summary:

We are seeking a Temporary Head Chef to join our children’s nursery in Nottingham. This role is crucial in providing nutritious and appealing meals for our young learners, ensuring their dietary needs are met while fostering a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare balanced meals that cater to the dietary requirements of children.
• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in accordance with regulations.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Create a welcoming and engaging dining environment for children.
• Collaborate with nursery staff to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality and catering industry.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to create menus that are both nutritious and appealing to children.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work casual hours as required.
