The Role

Are you organised, proactive and great at building relationships with suppliers? We’re looking for a Procurement Coordinator to join our Purchasing team in Elland. You’ll play an important role in keeping our purchasing and supply chain running smoothly.

This is a varied role, working closely with colleagues and suppliers to make sure we have the right materials, products and services available when we need them.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinating day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities
  • Raising and managing purchase orders
  • Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotes, place orders and monitor deliveries
  • Building and maintaining positive supplier relationships
  • Supporting stock and materials management
  • Monitoring orders, lead times and availability
  • Working with internal teams to understand purchasing requirements
  • Keeping procurement records and administration up to date
  • Helping identify opportunities to improve costs, processes and supplier performance
  • Supporting the wider team with general procurement and purchasing requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain.
  • Experience of negotiating with suppliers.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Experience using ERP or purchasing systems (Dynamics 365 desirable).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
