Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Qualifying Supervisor to join our team and take responsibility for the delivery of electrical compliance services across multiple contracts covering Crawley, London, Kingston and Canterbury.
This is a key supervisory and technical role, responsible for leading our electrical compliance function, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with all relevant legislation, regulations and accreditation requirements.
You will act as the Electrical Qualifying Supervisor for Cardo South, providing technical leadership, supporting our electricians and supply chain partners, and ensuring that our electrical compliance standards are consistently maintained.
Due to the geographical coverage of the role, you will need to be flexible, mobile and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across different contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the electrical compliance team across multiple contracts.
- Act as the Electrical Qualifying Supervisor for Cardo South and fulfil all associated NICEIC requirements.
- Ensure electrical compliance works are delivered safely, legally and to the required quality standards.
- Review and sign off electrical certification and notify Building Control of Part P notifications.
- Provide technical support, guidance, coaching and training to electricians, DLO operatives and supply chain partners.
- Ensure all qualifications, accreditations, CPD and training remain current and compliant.
- Oversee competency checks for DLO and supply chain electricians.
- Ensure test equipment is appropriately calibrated and maintained.
- Review and update risk assessments and method statements and implement electrical permits where required.
- Carry out quality control inspections and compliance audits.
- Produce technical and compliance reports for senior management.
- Monitor programme performance, quality, productivity, risk and cost.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, residents and internal stakeholders.
- Attend internal, external and client meetings, representing Cardo professionally.
- Keep up to date with changes to electrical regulations, legislation and compliance requirements.
- Lead technical and SHEQ toolbox talks.
- Support the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures and best practice.
- Take ownership of customer and resident complaints through to resolution, ensuring lessons are shared.
- Provide a proactive approach to health, safety, environmental and compliance matters.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Fully qualified electrician with NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- Current BS7671: Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition).
- City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Testing & Inspection qualification.
- Recognised Qualified Supervisor status with NICEIC/NAPIT (or equivalent).
- Proven experience supervising electrical works, preferably within social housing or similar residential environments.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance obligations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
