Summary:

The HR Advisor plays a crucial role in supporting the human resources function within our financial services organisation. Based in Manchester, this permanent, full-time position is designed for an individual with associate-level experience who is eager to contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and practices that align with our business objectives. The HR Advisor will serve as a key point of contact for employees, providing guidance and support on various HR matters, thereby enhancing employee engagement and organisational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organisation.
  • Manage employee relations issues, providing guidance on conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote employee development and compliance with HR policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and programmes that support organisational goals.
  • Stay updated on employment legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
