Summary:

As the Head of Engineering for our SaaS division, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical vision and strategy of our organisation. Based in Central London, you will lead a talented team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet our clients’ needs. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering innovation, optimising processes, and maintaining our competitive edge in the IT industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Define and implement the technical strategy and roadmap for our SaaS products.
  • Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and security.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to meet project deadlines and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing SaaS applications.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
