As we continue to grow and innovate, we are seeking an experienced Product Specialist to lead our talented software team and help shape the future of our technology.

Role Purpose:

Reporting to the Product Team Lead, this role supports Advatek’s customers and sales and marketing teams as a technical product expert, driving successful product adoption, understanding, and promotion of Advatek products through the development and delivery of training, documentation, technical resources, and customer engagement initiatives.

This role acts as a subject matter expert for Advatek products, features, workflows, and applications providing expert technical application support for specification, design, integration, commissioning and troubleshooting, and developing and delivering technical education for Advatek products while translating complex concepts into accessible and effective materials for customers, partners, and internal teams.

This role contributes to maintaining Advatek Lighting as a leading designer and manufacturer through customer engagement, product communication, training delivery, customer support and ongoing industry and product knowledge development

Functional Responsibilities

1. Support positive customer experiences by providing responsive, courteous, and helpful technical guidance to customer queries, including both pre-sales and post-sales support, product consultation, troubleshooting assistance, and customer education across Advatek product lines.

2. Develop and maintain supporting product documentation including user manuals, guides, FAQs, and other related materials.

3. Develop and maintain content to be used in marketing collateral, assets, and initiatives, and contribute to public-facing marketing material.

4. Develop and maintain training materials, including presentations, e-Learning modules, and classroom-style curriculum.

5. Deliver training both virtually and in-person, to build knowledge and confidence for Advatek customers, and partners and employees, both new and existing, ensuring ongoing product knowledge and capability development.

6. Contribute to exhibitions, tradeshows and other public events, which may include attending in-person, designing, constructing, presenting product demonstrations, and providing supporting content.

7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, news, announcements, and technologies in the lighting, controls, technology, and audio-visual spaces, so that perspectives and ideas can be based on relevant industry knowledge.

8. Identify and document customer feedback, and unmet customer needs to support the enhancement of current products and market demand for new products, including driving customer feedback and engagement initiatives such as Advatek ENGAGE.

9. Contribute to specialised projects, and other initiatives including new technology solutions and enhanced reporting requirements.

10. Communicate effectively, share information and work cooperatively with team members to contribute to the achievement of individual, team and organisational goals and customer experience.

11. Facilitate good record keeping in the CRM, logging interactions with customers and supporting sales to manage relationships through proper documentation of calls, meetings, events and other information.

Qualifications & Professional Association

· A qualification in engineering, electronics, lighting technology, networking, audio-visual technology, systems integration or a related technical discipline is preferred. Equivalent substantial hands-on industry experience will also be considered.

· Qualifications in adult learning, instructional design, technical training or education will be highly regarded.

· Membership of, or engagement with, relevant industry and professional bodies is desirable.

Work Experience

· 3+ years of experience in a product-related field of technical products for the B2B market, and can demonstrate strong practical knowledge of lighting control protocols, Ethernet networking, system integration, commissioning and root-cause troubleshooting.

· Specific experience in pixel LED control systems is desirable.

· Familiarity with customer experience concepts and best practices.

· Experience in developing and delivering training is desirable.

· Experience supporting technical pre-sales and post-sales activities, including system design review, product selection, and support troubleshooting.

Position Specific Requirements

· Must be legally authorised to work in Europe or the United Kingdom and maintain any required work authorisation throughout employment.

· Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including references, right-to-work verification and, where appropriate, a criminal records check in accordance with applicable legislation.

· Employed in accordance with applicable Europe or the United Kingdom employment laws and Advatek employment policies.

· Ability to work effectively across international teams, cultures and time zones.

· Flexibility to occasionally participate in meetings outside standard local working hours to support global collaboration.

· Availability for regular domestic travel with occasional international travel to customer sites, partner locations, trade shows and company event
