About Tyler Grange

In 2010, four specialists walked away from stable roles to build a consultancy driven by purpose.

Today, that kitchen-table idea has grown into a team of 120+ people.

We work in a way that values outcomes over hours. Be part of a team where leaders are accessible and genuinely involved. Arboriculture, Ecology and Landscape Planning are at our core. We’re also powered by our Hub team – the people who keep things moving across operations, resourcing, wellbeing and recruitment. If you’re not technical but you are brilliant at making things run well, there’s space for you here too.

The job that lets you be yourself

Picture a consultancy where caring isn’t seen as “too much”. It’s expected. Where you can bring your whole self to work. Use Fridays for family or volunteering. Get the freedom to focus on yourself.

That’s Tyler Grange.

We’ve made the four-day week permanent, we’ve been recognised on the Sunday Times Best Places to Work list (three times!), and we’ve built B Corp values into how we design and deliver.

Our biggest asset? These faces!

People aren’t part of the business. They are the business.

Everything starts with them. Their expertise, their care, their judgement. When they’re supported well, the work is stronger.

The TG team brings a mix of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. Different cultures, identities and neurodiverse minds all shape how we think and what we notice. That mix keeps ideas sharp and decisions grounded.

Across arboriculture, landscape (including green and blue infrastructure), ecology, and the non-technical, integral hub team, collaboration is built in. It means you get clear, full-picture advice that balances people, nature and place.

The strength of our team speaks through the work.

What we stand for

Our values were put on the table (literally) ten years ago and they haven’t changed one bit. They are what hold us together and guide us in everything we do.

tg-careers-image03.jpg

What can we do to make our peoples’ lives better? Help communities near and far? Support the environment? Exceed client expectations? We ask ourselves these questions every day. Because being accountable for each other, our work and the environment is what we’re all about.

tg-careers-image04.jpg

We’re a connected family who work together, play together, and champion each other. In the end, belonging gives us an identity and shared affinity, injecting more meaning into our lives and the work we do.

tg-careers-image05.jpg

We incentivise everyone at Tyler Grange to try new things, learn, and grow. Creating opportunities for themselves is also encouraged, and bringing ideas to the table is something we see every day. This translates into opportunities for our clients, communities and for the environment.

First to arrive in the office. Last to leave the dance floor. That’s how we roll.

We enjoy working hard, learning, and growing as much as we love celebrating our achievements, including those of our wider team, through fun and gratifying socials.

Tyler Grange now means something. This helps us attract those who share our values, bolstering them in the process. Openness, clarity, and honesty are intrinsic to how we communicate and share feedback.

Giving back, together

Everyone in the Tribe gets the chance to support a cause they care about. Community involvement is built into our progression and performance reviews, encouraging people to stick with causes and build long-term impact.

That could mean clearing brash for wildflower meadows, mentoring pupils, sharing skills with a charity or supporting a local family member. We make space for it all (and back it all).

There are TG-led projects too, like charity golf for Teenage Cancer Trust and working parties that turn scrubby corners into new habitats. When it makes sense, we also reconnect with communities after a project is built, running nature walks, supporting local events, helping residents get involved in looking after the space long-term, or returning to enhance habitats as they mature.

Grow fast and shape the next wave

Professional development is part of everyday life at TG. You’ll see our consultants running masterclasses on everything from badger surveys to biodiversity metrics. Cross-discipline sessions are easy to join and if you ask for CPD funding, the answer is usually “yes.” Curiosity is encouraged, and support is easy to find whatever your role or experience level. The Growth Collective builds on that too, creating more space to learn and grow together.

Knowledge-sharing goes beyond TG too. We speak at careers panels, give technical lectures for CIEEM and LI branches, and run an in-house mentoring scheme pairing early-career professionals with Principals.

Opening doors for the next generation is just as important. We helped write the landscape architecture apprenticeship standard, offer paid internships in arboriculture and ecology, and keep dissertation support and shadowing opportunities open all year.

Training is for everyone, including our Hub team. Whatever your role, if it helps you grow and do great work, we’ll help you get there.

Work with us, your way

Permanent Roles

Got the skills and experience to propel us forward? We’d love to hear from you. If you’re exactly what we’re looking for, we’ll be in touch to arrange an interview or a casual chat to explore what other options might be available to you.

Seasonal Roles

We hold group orientation days for fresh talent to show us what they’re made of. Each year, we invite Ecologists along for a day which usually consists of set tasks and challenges, giving you an opportunity to get to know other Assistant Ecologists and experience what it’s like to work for us.

Become a Tyler Grange Parter

If you’re an ecologist, landscape planner, arboricultural consultant or a small consultancy with those skills, the TG Partner scheme offers flexible opportunities to support projects across the UK.

We use the word Partner rather than subcontractor because it reflects the kind of relationship we want to build. One based on trust and shared success.

As a TG Partner, you’ll get:

• Clear project briefs, agreed rates and work orders

• Invites to online training, TG socials and community events

• Support from our resourcing team and in-house specialists

Choose the projects that fit your schedule and help us deliver great outcomes wherever they’re needed.

Our DEI Statement

An integral part of this means embracing diversity, providing equitable support and facilitating inclusion across our teams and throughout our activities. We are proudly working towards making a positive impact on our people, our clients and our communities in this way.
