The Role

As a Support Worker, you will:

Support young people aged 16–17 to develop independence skills
Promote safety, wellbeing, and positive routines
Provide emotional and practical support
Maintain professional boundaries at all times
Record daily logs, incidents, and support plans
Work collaboratively with social workers, managers, and external agencies
Uphold safeguarding procedures and report concerns immediately
Help maintain a safe, clean, welcoming accommodation environment

This role requires consistency, compassion, resilience, and a genuine commitment to young people’s welfare.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

Experience supporting young people or vulnerable individuals
Strong safeguarding awareness
Ability to build positive, professional relationships
Good communication and recording skills
Reliable, consistent, and emotionally resilient
Willingness to work shifts
Enhanced DBS (children’s workforce) – or willingness to obtain one

Desirable

Experience working with looked after children
NVQ Level 3 (Children & Young People / Health & Social Care)
Knowledge of Supported Accommodation Regulations (2023)
First Aid, safeguarding, or de‑escalation training
