About the role

Yinhawangka Aboriginal Corporation (YAC) is seeking a practical, people-focused Member Services Team Leader to guide our Member Liaison Officers and coordinate day-to-day Member services.

Based in Paraburdoo and reporting to the Place Based Development Manager, you will help ensure Members receive timely assistance that reflects their strengths, priorities and circumstances. You will combine team leadership with hands-on coordination, building strong relationships with Members, families, Elders and colleagues across YAC.

As the Member Services Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead, coach and support Member Liaison Officers, set clear expectations and coordinate workloads.
  • Oversee Member enquiries, the shared inbox and follow-up actions to ensure requests are addressed or referred appropriately.
  • Coordinate Member activities, outreach, transport bookings and travel arrangements while maintaining cultural protocols.
  • Turn organisational priorities into practical teamwork plans and monitor progress.
  • Build respectful relationships and use Member feedback to improve services and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and report on activities, outcomes and emerging issues.
  • Support a safe and respectful workplace, address routine concerns and escalate complex matters.

About you

You are an organised and approachable leader who can support a team while keeping daily services running smoothly. You communicate clearly, use sound judgement and handle sensitive information with care.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated ability to build respectful relationships and deliver culturally appropriate services with Aboriginal people, families, Elders and communities.
  • Experience supervising a team, allocating work, providing feedback and coaching, and addressing performance or workplace concerns.
  • Relevant qualifications in community services, business administration, management or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience in member services, community services or operational coordination.
  • Strong computer and administration skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, solve practical problems and work collaboratively.

Experience with Aboriginal organisations or communities, knowledge of Paraburdoo, Tom Price and surrounding areas, and an MR licence or higher will be highly regarded. An understanding of or willingness to learn about Yinhawangka culture and Member priorities is also essential.
