Yindjibarndi Nation Ltd (YNL) was established in late
2022 by the native title representative bodies to develop future proofing self-determination
projects and capability building streams for our broader Yindjibarndi Group.

Yindjibarndi entities and stakeholders, we work strategically across three

About The Role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the General
Manager – Capability & Education is a senior leadership role responsible
for delivering YNL’s 3C Futures Program and capability building stream —focused
on creating pathways into education, training and sustainable employment for
Yindjibarndi people.
You will lead employment development initiatives across
YNL’s Commercial (such us Yindjibarndi Energy, Yurra, Yindjibarndi Water and
Jina (Rent a Car), Community and Cultural organisations, while building strong
partnerships with training providers, industry and government.
This is a hands‑on leadership role combining community
engagement, strategy, program delivery and stakeholder engagement in a regional
and culturally grounded environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading delivery of the 3C Futures Program and achievement of key outcomes
- Establishing apprenticeships, traineeships, internships and structured employment pathways
- Working closely with Yindjibarndi Community Leaders and respective Community & Cultural Organisations
- Collaborating with existing providers on delivering education, literacy & workplace readiness programs
- Building and centralising partnerships with TAFE, RTOs, Industry partners and government
- Coordinating job placements, mentoring and emerging leader programs
- Monitoring, evaluation and reporting aligned to YNL’s Social Impact Framework
About You
You are a confident, grounded leader with experience in
community engagement, employment or educational programs and a strong
commitment to practical outcomes.
Your experience working with Ngaarda organisations or
communities will be highly regarded, as will your ability to operate
effectively across complex stakeholder environments while remaining grounded in
community needs.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in capability building, community engagement, employment programs, training or education
- Proven success establishing apprenticeships, traineeships or job placement initiatives, ideally as a leader
- Strong stakeholder and partnerships development skills
- Sound understanding of TAFE, and RTO training systems
- Experience delivering programs across regional or remote contexts
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Education or a related field
