Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Picker in the Agriculture, Fishing & Forestry industry. As a Picker, you will be responsible for gathering and preparing various crops or products for distribution. This is a full-time position based in East Melbourne, Victoria 3002.

Responsibilities:

1. Harvest crops or products according to specific guidelines provided by supervisors.

2. Inspect harvested items for quality assurance and remove any damaged or diseased items.

3. Sort and grade harvested items based on size, color, or other specifications.

4. Pack harvested items into appropriate containers ensuring proper handling and packaging techniques are followed.

5. Load packed containers onto trucks or other transportation vehicles for distribution.

6. Maintain cleanliness of work area by disposing of waste properly and organizing tools/equipment after use.

7. Adhere to safety regulations and protocols at all times during harvesting activities.

8. Report any issues or concerns related to crop quality, equipment malfunctioning, or safety hazards promptly.

Qualifications:

1. Entry-level position; no prior experience required; training will be provided on the job.

2. High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.

3. Physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.

4.. Availability to work full-time hours including weekends when necessary.
