Summary:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Football JPL Competition Administrator to support the smooth delivery of our Junior Premier League (JPL) Australia competition. This role is critical to the day-to-day administration of fixtures, registrations, clubs, teams, and communications, with a strong focus on using SportsPlus as the primary competition management system.

You will work closely with clubs, coaches, coordinators, referees, and internal stakeholders to ensure competitions are well managed, compliant, and communicated effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer JPL competitions using SportsPlus, including:
  • Team, player, and official registrations
  • Fixture creation, updates, and results management
  • Grading, ladders, and competition settings
  • Provide first-point-of-contact support for clubs regarding registrations, fixtures, and system queries
  • Coordinate match-related administration, including byes, forfeits, reschedules, and wet weather changes
  • Ensure compliance with competition rules, policies, and governing body requirements
  • Prepare and distribute competition communications, draw updates, and key notices
  • Support reporting requirements, including participation data and season summaries
  • Work collaboratively with technical, referee, and operations staff to ensure smooth competition delivery
  • Assisting in other sporting modes and admin areas when required.

You are organised, calm under pressure, and comfortable working in a fast-paced sporting environment. You enjoy systems, processes, and helping clubs navigate administration efficiently.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience using SportsPlus
  • Experience in football or sporting competition administration (JPL or similar highly regarded)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • A passion for sports and community engagement.
  • Knowledge of Australian football pathways and junior competitions
  • Experience working with volunteers and community sporting clubs
  • Understanding of safeguarding / child-safe requirements in sport
