The Opportunity
StewartBrown is looking for a Graduate Accountant to join our Consulting Team. You would be joining an experienced team with enormous potential to build and grow your career supporting the growing needs of our NFP, Aged Care and NDIS client base.
The ideal candidate would have an interest in building their practical accounting skills with a pathway toward management accounting which will include financial statements, statutory accounts, debits and credits, and completing reconciliations in line with Australian Accounting Standards.
As a Graduate Accountant in our Consulting Team, your role may include building your experience in:
- Reconciliations ensuring financial records match bank statements
- Gathering data and supporting the preparation of financial statements
- Assisting with adherence to regulatory compliance and legislation
- Developing proficiency across accounting software
- Assisting with documentation, research or materials with the Consulting Team to support StewartBrown clients.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance, or business (with eligibility to enter the Chartered Accounting Program)
- You have strong oral and written communication skills, great problem-solving skills, and are a driver of organisational change

- A knack for analysis and problem solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence to liaise and work collaboratively with team and clients
- You have a work ethic which consistently demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and logical thinking in your approach to tasks.
