Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Aged Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to elderly individuals in a residential care facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping residents with daily tasks, providing emotional support, and ensuring their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

– Assisting residents with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

– Providing emotional support to residents who may be feeling lonely or anxious

– Monitoring the health and well-being of residents, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members

– Assisting with meal preparation and feeding if necessary

– Engaging residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation

– Maintaining a clean and safe living environment for residents

Qualifications:

– Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care or equivalent qualification

– Previous experience working in an aged care setting preferred

– Current First Aid certification

– Understanding of the needs of elderly individuals

– Ability to pass a criminal background check
