Medical Technician

Responsibilities and Duties

Day to day your duties will include, but not be limited to:

Performing ECG Holters, BP monitors, ECGs, Sleep-studies(Home-based) and Lung Function tests on patients

Reception duties such as handling phone calls, booking/confirming appointments, downloading and programming monitors as may be required

Other general administration tasks as may be required

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role you will need to possess:

A nursing/medical/science background – recent graduates welcome

Experience in a similar setting is advantageous

Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook

Ability to perform basic administration tasks such as data entry & query

The ability to communicate with patients from all types of backgrounds

Excellent oral, written, communication & typing skills

A current driver’s license is essential

Pleasant, positive and caring attitude

A high standard of work ethic – self-motivated, pro-active, takes pride in work

Able to work well independently, but also as part of a team
