Job Title: Site Measurer / Template / Drafting Detailer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Measurer / Template / Drafting Detailer to join our building and construction company in Mulgrave, Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately measuring and templating sites, as well as creating detailed drafting drawings for various stoneworks projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Responsibilities:
– Conduct on-site measurements and templating for construction projects according to project specifications.
– Create accurate 2D/3D drafting drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
– Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate interpretation of project requirements.
– Review architectural plans and blueprints to identify potential issues or discrepancies.
– Generate detailed reports of measurements taken at each site visit.
– Assist in the preparation of material take-offs based on drafted plans.
– Coordinate with installation teams regarding site-specific details before project commencement.
Skills:
– Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software is essential.
– Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurement calculations.
– Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify potential errors or discrepancies in plans/drawings.
– Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
– Good problem-solving abilities when faced with design challenges or modifications during the drafting process.
Qualifications:
-Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Measurer, Template Maker, or Drafting Detailer within the building and construction industry is required
-Degree/Diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field is preferred
-Knowledge of relevant building codes/regulations
-Familiarity with different construction materials/products
-Proven track record of producing accurate technical drawings
