We are looking for a Venue Manager for NAAMi Bar and Takeaway in Burleigh.

About the role

We are searching for someone with a genuine passion for the industry, who has strong leadership skills and extensive experience in operating venues. The hands-on role will involve continuing to develop the atmosphere, inspiring the current team and managing all stakeholder relationships.

Day to day can include:

Following, and ensuring the team follows, food & beverage hygiene and occupational health and safety measures

Leading staff through busy night services while keeping morale high

Taking care with portions and waste to ensure profits remain positive

Managing staff, including rostering, processing time sheets and giving direction

Preparing menus in collaboration with management

Generating innovative ideas to improve business performance and sales

Ensuring adequacy of supplies at the venue

Preparing and ordering ingredients/products that should be frequently available

About you

Role Requirements:

Minimum 4 years experience in a similar role

Experience working in a fast paced bar

The ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance.

Exceptional beverage knowledge, including wines, beers & cocktails etc.

An understanding of ordering and stocktake procedures.

Previous experience in cost control and operating within an approved budget

An innovative management approach: coming up with new ideas for improving the business, including driving and improving business sales.

Current RSA, RMLV & Approved Managers license preferred.

An approachable and sociable personality with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, late night environment
