Summary:

Moreton Hire are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial analysis and support to the management team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and developing and implementing financial strategies to drive business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Payable: Ensure timely processing of invoices, maintain accurate records, and manage vendor relationships.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable: Monitor incoming payments, reconcile customer accounts, and implement effective credit control measures.
  • Administer Payroll: Process payroll in compliance with legal and company policies, resolve any payroll discrepancies, and maintain payroll records.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual budget, forecast financial outcomes, and report variances.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level to improve financial performance.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team to achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a management accounting role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (Microsoft Great Planes, Navision, Power Platform or Business Central preferred)
