Intermediate Accountant

Mid Coast Partners is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Accountant to join our expanding team in either Perth or Geraldton on a full-time basis. This role will suit qualified accountants with experience working in an accounting practice who is seeking to progress their career, broaden their skill set and manage their own client accounts.

About the Role

Working with support of an experienced Senior Accountant and/or Principal, your duties will include:

Preparation of management reports, financial statements and tax returns for individual, partnership, company, trust clients and super funds

Preparation of business activity statements

Work on a variety of tax matters including GST, CGT, FBT and Div7a.

Exposure to Business Advisory work such as management accounting, board report packs, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and succession planning

Liaison with clients

About You

We are seeking applicants who have completed Bachelors degree in Accounting or Advanced Diploma of Accounting, especially those currently completing or intending to complete CA or CPA.

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following skills:

High energy and enthusiasm, with a strong commitment to exceeding client expectations.

Good communication and interpersonal skills

A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential

Previous experience with using Xero and Xero practice tools

Flexibility and openness to work on a variety of assignments.

Ability to learn quickly and provide value-added service to our clients.

Team player with a desire to be an active, long-term participant in the growth of the Firm.

Be naturally proactive with initiative and good common sense
