Role Overview:
Join Landlinks Environmental Services’ dedicated team as a Bush Crew Member. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the natural environment through land management, landscaping, environmental and ecological restoration, tree planting & establishment and parks & gardens maintenance, As a key member of the Bush Crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the local community can enjoy beautifully manicured public spaces.
About You:
You’ll have a love for the outdoors and happy to work in all weather conditions.
Preferably you’ll have experience in the following;
• Herbicide application using knapsacks, quick spray units, boom spraying or other equipment.
• Landscaping – soft landscaping with some basic construction
• Planting – riparian, street and reserve tree & revegetation
• Hand weeding, woody weed removal, mulching, planting, brush cutting, revegetation works, landscaping, tree / chainsaw work
• Tractor operation with slasher (preferred not essential)
• Trackloader operation ( preferred not essential )
• Mowing zero turn operation (preferred not essential)
• A commitment to working in a team environment
• Ability to complete tasks on schedule to achieve agreed projects and work priorities in accordance with supervisor’s direction.
Certificates/Licences:
• Driver’s License – essential
• Truck license highly favorable (LR or MR a minimum) or willing to obtain
• First Aid (Level 2)
• ACUP – Agricultural Chemical Users Permit
• Construction Induction (Red Card)
• Chainsaw – Crosscut (Level 1)
• Diploma / Cert – Horticulture/ Conservation Land Management/Arborist.
• Machine Operation tickets ( Tractor, Loader, Trackloader)
• Tertiary or TAFE qualifications in Conservation Land Management, Natural Resource Management, Horticulture, Arborist, Landscaping or similar will be highly regarded.
