Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter and Maintenance Officer to join our manufacturing team in Kingsgrove, New South Wales. This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining production quality and safety standards, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes.

Qualifications:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar maintenance role within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
