About the role
We are looking for a Commis Chef to amaze the patrons of our establishments with excellent creativity, culinary skills, recipes and specifications. Your work will be an important factor to a client’s contentment, and overall success and smooth running of our kitchens. The ultimate goal is to expand our clientele and reputation to ensure long-term success. Day to day can include:
Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes according to the customer demand.
Following, and ensuring the team follows, food hygiene and occupational health and safety measures.
Taking care with portions and waste to ensure profits remain positive.
Preparing menus in collaboration with management.
Ensuring adequacy of supplies at the venue.
Preparing ingredients that should be frequently available (vegetables, spices etc.)
About you
Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery.
Minimum 3 years kitchen experience.
Ability to lead and manage a team.
Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.
Experience with rostering, ordering and cogs management.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Great attention to detail.
Positive attitude (MUST).
