With over 20 years’ experience in the hydraulic industry, Fluid in Motion designs, manufactures and installs hydraulic and lubrication systems to customer requirements supported by both workshop and field servicing and installation activities. Located in the Perth Southern Metropolitan area, we service the oil and gas, mining, construction, earth moving and maritime industries.

A position is available for a suitably qualified and experienced Hydraulic Technician / Mechanical Fitter who is a motivated individual with the ability to work without supervision and as part of a team. Jobs will be undertaken in our workshop and onsite in the Perth Metropolitan area, regional Western Australia with opportunities for offshore work.

The Hydraulic Technician / Mechanical Fitter will be required to be able to undertake a diverse range of duties, including:

– The manufacture, installation and commissioning of hydraulic mobile equipment and systems.

– Maintenance and installation of marine hydraulic systems (experience preferred but not mandatory).

– Onsite Troubleshooting.

– Customer Liaison.

– Work to high quality standards and in a safe manner.

Consideration will be given to applicants with the following:

– Trade certificate.

– Offshore experience and relevant tickets are advantageous.

– Current driver’s license

– Extensive site and workshop based hydraulic service experience.

– Good communication and customer service skills and an ability to build a good working relationship with customers.

– Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Safe Work Practices.

– Be well organised and able to work in a team environment.

– Have a strong work ethic and be proactive in their thinking.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics and technical drawings.
