The Role
We’re on the hunt for an experienced Maintenance Lead Plumber to join our growing crew at New Plumbing Solutions (NPS).
Based across the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, this is a hands-on role that also gives you the opportunity to step up, lead, and make an impact.
If you’ve got strong maintenance plumbing experience, solid admin/quoting know-how, and are keen to work on a mix of council, community, and foreshore projects, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Maintenance plumbing across council buildings, community hubs, footy clubs & more
• Planned servicing (e.g. backflow testing, foreshore camping site setup)
• Reactive plumbing (e.g. burst pipes, roof leaks, blocked drains)
• Leading projects from start to finish, including permits and materials.
• Assisting with quotes & admin tasks (around 20% of the role)
• Supporting and guiding junior plumbers and apprentices
You’ll spend around 80% of your time on the tools, and 20% supporting admin, such as quoting jobs, coordinating permits/SWMS, and liaising with contract managers.
What We’re Looking For
• Solid experience in maintenance commercial plumbing
• Previous exposure to admin or quoting (even basic is fine!)
• Confidence to guide others and run point on projects.
• Great customer service and problem-solving instincts
• Strong knowledge of plumbing regs and Australian standards
Must-Haves
• Plumbing Registration (essential)
• Driver’s licence (essential)
• Own hand tools
• Construction white card
• Police Check + WWCC
Nice to have: Backflow or TMV ticket, gas servicing experience.
