About the Job

The Electrical Project Manager at Espec will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing projects within established scope, time, and budget. This role involves defining project goals, identifying potential risks, managing project budgets and resources, collaborating with stakeholders, tracking project performance metrics, and facilitating project meetings. The Project Manager will also ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements, drive continuous improvement initiatives, maintain accurate project documentation, and provide leadership and mentorship to the project team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical and construction projects within established scope, schedule, and budget
  • Define project goals, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Track project performance metrics, monitor progress, and report updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders
  • Facilitate project meetings and maintain clear communication across teams
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, permits, and compliance records
  • Ensure projects comply with company policies, safety regulations, and local building codes
  • Resolve conflicts and manage escalations proactively
  • Drive process improvements to enhance project efficiency and quality
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to project team members

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Electrical trade qualification (Certificate III in Electrotechnology) or relevant electrical background.
  • Proven experience managing electrical construction projects, from planning through to delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical standards, safety systems, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage electrical subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers.
  • Experience overseeing budgets, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across site and office environments.
