Description

Job description: ● Assist clients with various household tasks, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.

● Helping with household chores, such as cooking, laundry and cleaning.

● Provide hands-on personal care based on individual client needs, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management.

● Foster meaningful connections with clients through active listening, companionship, and empathy, promoting mental and emotional well-being.

● Conduct regular assessments of clients’ needs and progress, maintaining accurate records and promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

● Encourage and support clients in developing and maintaining their independence and self-confidence by offering guidance and assistance as needed.

● Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times, following established safety protocols and infection control measures.

● Maintain participant health records and documentation according to Enable, Independent Living, Housing and Support Services’ policies.

– Must have a car and valid driver’s license

Responsibilities:

– Assist participants in daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

– Support participants in achieving their goals and increasing their independence

– Collaborate with participants, management, and staff to ensure high-quality care is provided

– Maintain accurate records of participant progress

– Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants

Qualifications:

– Certificate III or IV in Disability Care or equivalent qualification

– Previous experience working in social welfare, psycho-social, or mental health field preferred

– Valid First Aid certificate
