The role

EMT OMEC is specialise in servicing industry’s needs for the maintenance, overhaul and refurbishment of low voltage rotating machines up to 500kW and Our engineering work shop capabilities include complete rewind, repair, overhaul, refurbishment, routine services, redesign and mechanical modification services for the following plant and equipment.
Key responsibilities
Major duties and responsibilities of the Electrical Technician
• Designing, Implementing, testing, improving electrical Motors and low voltage rotating machines and instruments, equipment’s like drivers, Transformers, pumps, Generators, Alternators, Motor Drivers, Transformers, switchgears etc.
• Determining system’s and component’s capabilities by designing testing methods
• Evaluating and authorising test report from the electrician for new and existing products
• Conferring with clients, suppliers, and others to solve the technical problems for existing or potential electrical products- especially Pumps, Generators, Alternators, Motor Drivers, Transformers, switchgears and low voltage rotating machines.
• Preparing and proofreading specifications & user manual for electrical equipment’s.
• Monitoring the requirements of safety standards for electrical fittings and control gears in rotating machines.
• Releasing products after testing, assessing, redesigning and mechanical modification for installations.
• Providing support to the customer if there is any technical issue or system failure
• Research, develop, modify and improve the product range of the company
• Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating software and engineering equipment
• Preparing electrical system specifications or drawings following client requirements
• Supervising the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment’s, components, and systems in EMT OMEC and client onsite
• Calculating, and estimating material, equipment, and labour cost for projects
• Designing and developing quotation for EMT OMEC projects
Requirements –
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering with previous experience of 2 years in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work well with team, and also independently.
• Must be able to work shift work, including nights and weekends
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Permanent Residents or citizens of Australia will be preferred.
