WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a reliable, independent scaffolding contractor to provide safe access for our residential and commercial solar installations across Manchester and the surrounding area. Small and medium-sized scaffolding firms are welcome to apply.
You’ll supply, erect, inspect, maintain and dismantle scaffolding, edge protection and temporary access, so our installers can move panels, tools and equipment safely while protecting occupants, the public and the property.
Rather than using one national provider, we are building a network of local scaffolding partners, each covering their own area. In return for competitive, transparent pricing and responsive service, we offer:
- A regular pipeline of work close to your yard
- Jobs grouped by area to cut travel and downtime
- Advance visibility of our installation programme
- Prompt payment
You’ll be asked to confirm the area you can cover around Kent when you apply.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supply, erect, alter, inspect, maintain and dismantle scaffolding, edge protection and temporary access
- Work with our solar team on scaffold positions, platform heights and safe routes for moving panels and equipment
- Identify site hazards and protect occupants, the public, property and other trades
- Inspect scaffolding before handover, at the required intervals, and after any alteration or severe weather
- Keep scaffold tags, handover certificates, inspection records and photos up to date
- Respond quickly to alteration, maintenance and emergency access requests
- Leave sites clean and tidy when the job is finished
- Comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Work at Height Regulations 2005, and relevant HSE guidance and standards

- Proven experience in residential and commercial scaffolding, ideally on roofing, renewable-energy or similar projects

- Reliable scheduling and clear communication, including prompt notice of delays or safety issues
- Confidence working safely around occupied homes, businesses and the public
