The Opportunity: Nursery Hand (Full-Time)

We are seeking full-time Nursery Hands to play a vital role in our daily operations. This is a hands-on position, ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work outdoors and are eager to learn and contribute to the growth and care of our diverse plant stock.

We are seeking long-term employees.

Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time hours.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Nursery Hand, you will be involved in a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Potting and Repotting: Efficiently potting and repotting plants of various sizes.
  • Plant Maintenance: Pruning, weeding, spacing, and general plant care to maintain health and quality.
  • Stock Movement: Moving plants within the nursery and preparing them for dispatch.
  • Order Picking & Packing: Accurately picking and preparing plant orders for customers.
  • General Nursery Duties:
  •  Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the nursery areas, and assisting with other tasks as required.

  • Adhering to Safety: Following all workplace health and safety procedures diligently.

About You:

We’re looking for individuals who are:

  • Reliable and Punctual: Committed to consistent attendance and arriving on time.
  • Hardworking & Energetic: Comfortable with physical work, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Team Player: Able to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently when required.
  • Eager to Learn: Willingness to follow instructions and learn new horticultural techniques and processes.
  • Attention to Detail: Able to follow instructions accurately to ensure plant health and order precision.
  • Previous Experience: While horticultural experience is a bonus, it is not essential for this role. We are happy to train the right candidate!
