Job Responsibilities:
The Stores Person will play a pivotal role in the seamless management of our inventory operations. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, this role will be responsible for overseeing the efficient flow of stock, ensuring accuracy, and facilitating outbound freight logistics. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to be at the heart of our manufacturing processes, contributing directly to our ongoing success.
Stock Control:
- Receive stock and manage goods receipting through our online stock system.
- Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts to maintain accuracy and inventory integrity.
- Maintain accountability for both inbound and outbound goods, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all stock-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate information to management and the sales team.
- Purchase requisitions for stock and consumable items.
- Pre-production stock picking for Jobs
- Ensure all stock items are clearly labelled, and storage areas are clean and tidy.
Freight Coordination:
- Assist with packing orders and recording Weights and Measurements for Transport.
- Coordinate outbound freight arrangements for timely collection, ensuring adherence to schedules.
- Support Unloading and loading activities for delivery vehicles, ensuring efficient and safe handling of goods.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation and collaborate with management to implement improvements that enhance the stock control process.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
- Participate in safety briefings and ensure team members are equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
Reporting and Documentation:
- Report stock discrepancies, short supply or low balances to procurement for action
- Mark Delivery Dockets with date, checked quantities, receipting completed, then scan for uploading to system and sending to accounts.
General Duties:
- Maintain a clean work area, empty bins, sweep floors.
- Ad hoc duties as required by supervising staff
