Description We are a Victorian-based construction company seeking an experienced carpenter to join our team. As an expanding business, with an increasing workbook and plenty of exciting projects on the horizon going into 2024, this is a great opportunity in an exciting dynamic workplace supported by an experienced team. Requirements Qualifications; AQF Certificate III, including at least two years of on-the-job training Or, AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) Selection Criteria Must Haves; Thorough knowledge of Carpentry Be physically fit The role is physically demanding at times and requires good health and strength Requires excellent English and report writing skills Responsibilities Prepare layouts as required for jobs. Interpret drawings and plans and advise on materials needed for completion of the task. Installation and erection of wood and metal structures. Cutting and shaping a range of materials and joining appropriately ie: screws, nails, adhesives. Repairing structures where necessary. Carry out measurements and calculations. Building structures and frameworks using wood and other materials. Inspect and replace damaged framework and structures and or fixtures. Assembling wood and metal structures. Placing and removing formwork on precast concrete blocks. Erect and dismantle formwork for footings and slabs on the ground. Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions. General clean-up duties around your work area as required. Prepares written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information. Salary/Benefits  This is a full-time role with a great opportunity for career progression. The right candidate would be offered an annual salary package ranging from $110,000 – $130,000 plus superannuation depending on experience.
