Maintenance Assistant

We’re Hiring: Maintenance & Grounds Team Member

We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable, proactive person to join our Maintenance team. If you enjoy varied work, take pride in presentation, and want to make a real difference for older members of our community, this role is for you.

What you’ll do:

• General building & property maintenance

• Minor repairs (carpentry, painting, plumbing, fixtures etc)

• Routine inspections & responding to work orders

• Lawn care, gardening, pruning & landscaping

• Pressure washing & keeping outdoor areas tidy

• Cleaning of maintenance areas & waste management

• Maintaining tools, equipment & storage spaces

• Collaborate with other departments

About you:

• Experience in maintenance or a trade‑related role

• Proactive, safety‑focused, and able to work independently

• Able to prioritize works and follow schedules

• Good problem‑solving skills & attention to detail

• Comfortable using hand & power tools

• Physically fit and happy working indoors & outdoors

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Confident in using technology and basic computer skills

• Driver’s licence + Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

• Annual Flu vaccination

Highly desirable

Test and Tag certification

Experience in Residential Aged Care or Retirement village
