Caregiva is offering an opportunity for a rewarding career in disability care. We’re seeking Disability Support Workers to join our growing SIL’s team providing valuable services in the Toowoomba region.

About Us:

Caregiva provides a range of in-home and community-based support services for people with a disability up to 65 years of age, with a specific focus on supporting those with a disability who are participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme(NDIS). The services we provide include Supported Independent Living (SIL), Specialised Disability Accommodation (SDA), Community Access, and Transportation. About the Role:

As a Disability Support Worker, you will assist participants in a supported living environment according to their individual needs to help them to live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community. Your day-to-day tasks will revolve around providing support with daily living, including personal care, domestic duties, various skill development activities, medication administration, and social and community participation.

About You:

We’re looking for someone with excellent people skills, experience in mental health care and complex behaviours, and a sound understanding of NDIS requirements.

You must have (or be willing to obtain) the following:

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, with the potential for working Day Shifts, Evening Shifts, Sleepovers

Full vaccination against COVID-19 in accordance with the QLD Government requirements

Certificate III or Certificate IV in Disability or an equivalent qualification completed or in progress

Ability to work with Complex Behaviour Participants

Experience working with Psychosocial disabilities

Ability to follow the PBSP plan

Ability to support participants in the Toowoomba Region

Current CPR Certificate

Current First Aid Certificate

National Police Check with no convictions

Valid Yellow Card / NDIS Worker Screening

Valid Australian Driver’s Licence

Working with Children Blue Card
