We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our growing ASX listed organisation in Melbourne CBD. This permanent, full-time role is essential for maintaining and installation of phone systems for small to medium businesses. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our operations and delivering high-quality service to our clients.This is a rare opportunity!

We sell the latest in hardware and Cloud technology from leading suppliers such as Cisco.

You will have the opportunity to further enhance your skills by working with the latest Cloud technologies such as Cisco Webex.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to theTechnician Services Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, configuring, maintain and testing phone systems for our clients.
  • Providing education and instruction on the effective use of new phone systems.
  • Servicing of CCTV systems (training to be provided).
  • Servicing Melbourne and surrounding areas.
  • Working closely and collaboratively with our Operations team.
  • Work with our major vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Learn new products and services and complete training courses to keep up with the latest emerging Voice and UC technologies.
  • Ability to drive out into regional suburbs from time-to-time – including staying overnight when required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience with CISCO, AVAYA, NEC, or Panasonic telephone systems preferred – will consider other systems.
  • Knowledge of networking.
  • Knowledge of IP Systems and SIP trunks/SIP environments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively particularly with non-technical clients.
  • A warm yet professional phone manner with a genuine customer service focus.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills at all levels of business.
  • Be rigorous in daily maintenance tasks.
  • Security licence
  • Cabling licence.
