Irrigation Worker

Boolah is seeking a reliable and motivated Irrigation Worker to join our farming team in Gunnedah, NSW.

🌾 Location: Gunnedah, NSW

🌾 Full-time position

🌾 Immediate start

🌾 Accommodation available, if required

Boolah is a vertically integrated agri-enterprise built on a legacy of hands-on farming, now leading sustainable practices, traceable supply chains and data-driven innovation across Australia. We’re proud of our culture: where curiosity is rewarded, collaboration is real, and meaningful contributions help us grow both our business and the agricultural sector.

The role will involve hands-on irrigation work, supporting the efficient delivery of water to crops and keeping irrigation systems and equipment operating effectively.

Duties will include:

• Setting up, operating and monitoring irrigation systems
• Checking water flow and distribution throughout irrigation runs
• Monitoring pumps, pipes and irrigation equipment, and reporting faults
• Assisting with routine irrigation maintenance and repairs
• Keeping accurate records of irrigation activities
• Operating farm machinery and equipment as required
• Assisting with general farm duties between irrigation runs
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, safety-focused and comfortable working outdoors in a physically active role. You will need good attention to detail, a practical approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Previous irrigation, farming or machinery experience will be highly regarded. A willingness to learn, follow instructions and communicate effectively with the team is essential.

Flexibility to work hours that suit irrigation schedules, including weekends where required, is important.

Applicants must hold a valid driver’s licence and have their own transport due to the rural location of our operations.
