Blok Freight Pty Ltd are excited to be offering our latest opportunity for Multi-purpose Driver to perform MR Truck & Van Deliveries with our Murwillumbah team! Join a family owned and locally run business that loves what we do. What does a Blok Freight driver do? As a Multi-Purpose Delivery Driver, you will be the friendly face of Blok Freight and a key part of our success. The right candidate will be energetic, a team player and have excellent customer service skills. Your day will include: – Sorting parcels. – Planning your delivery routes and loading and unloading freight from your vehicle. – Striving to deliver consignments in full and on time. – Safely operating your vehicle and completing vehicle checks. – Using handheld scanners to complete deliveries and pickups – Showcasing your excellent customer service skills. – Completing multi-drop deliveries and pickups in a Van or MR Truck, ensuring all parcels and pallets are delivered safely and efficiently. – Takes pride in their equipment and is able to wash and clean their truck when required. – Ability to use a tailgate loader and trolley jacks to complete deliveries. Getting to know Blok Freight Since 1992, Blok Freight has been servicing the Northern Rivers with time critical, parcel express and bulk freight services. Blok is a family and locally owned company, with huge ambitions to grow. The business currently operates in two facilities in Lismore and Murwillumbah; however, we have some big targets coming in 2025, we have now opened a brand-new depot in Murwillumbah. We currently employ over 70 people with a fleet of 50 vehicles that covers Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales. You will be joining a can-do group of people who all share the same passion of under promising and over delivering for our customers and the community. Your skills and experience – Must be self-starter who can manage their workload efficiently. – Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug & alcohol test prior to employment. – Must be physically fit: able to lift repeatedly, carry parcels and be on your feet for the majority of your day. – Strong verbal and written communication skills. – Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes. – Must have valid Australian driver’s license. – Previous experience in a delivery, warehousing or similar role advantageous. – Must complete a Pre-Employment Health and Physical exam & Drug and Alcohol Test (Employer supplied) In return we offer – A supportive team to help you succeed. – On the job training with a dedicated trainer. – Opportunity to earn overtime and performance-based pay increases. – Superannuation on top of Pay Rate. – Company vehicle & mobile supplied for use on shift. – Uniform supplied.
