About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Floor Finisher / Restoration Technician to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role involves hands-on restoration work across a variety of sites, including residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mould and other damage events.
Key Responsibilities
– Carry out floor finishing works including installation, removal, restoration and repair of flooring materials (carpet, timber, vinyl, etc.)
– Undertake water damage restoration, including structural drying and moisture monitoring.
– Perform demolition and strip-out works where required.
– Conduct mould remediation and cleaning in accordance with industry standards.
– Operate restoration equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers and extraction units
– Complete job documentation, moisture readings and reporting accurately
– Maintain a safe work environment in line with WHS requirements
– Liaise professionally with clients, insurers and project managers on-site
Skills & Experience
– Previous experience in floor finishing, flooring installation, or restoration works (highly regarded)
– Experience in water damage restoration, mould remediation or similar (preferred)
– Strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and within a team
– Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Physically fit and capable of manual labour
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications & Requirements
– Relevant qualification in flooring, construction, or restoration (Certificate III or equivalent preferred)
– IICRC certification (or willingness to obtain) highly regarded
– White Card (Construction Induction Card) – required
– Current Australian driver’s licence – required
– Ability to pass background checks where required
