Cellar Door Manager – Audrey Wilkinson

Summary:

Perched on the foothills of Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley and overlooking our historic vineyard, the Audrey Wilkinson Cellar Door is renowned as much for the breathtaking views as it is our award-winning wines and legendary visitor experience.

We are looking for someone with natural customer service skills and solid experience in hospitality to manage the day-to-day running of our popular cellar door.

Certainly, a passion for wine would be welcomed, but this is a role ideally suited for someone who has a passion for delivering truly unforgettable visitor experiences.

This role could be a great fit for someone in the tourism, hospitality or other customer service based activity looking to make a change.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Manage and oversee all aspects in the daily operations of the cellar door, including but not limited to, staffing, inventory management and the consistent delivery of customer experiences.

• Budget responsibility for meeting both revenue and expense goals.

• Leading our enthusiastic Cellar Door team as they provide exceptional customer service to our guests and visitors.

• Working closely with our DTC Manager in relation to Wine Club, bespoke tastings, tours, and other private and corporate events.

• Maintaining accurate records of sales, inventory and customer engagement/feedback.

• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to liquor licensing, employment and workplace health and safety as necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Proven experience in a management role within the wine, tourism and/or hospitality industries.

• Natural customer service skills

• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.

• A passion for wine is essential.

• Qualifications in wine, tourism and/or hospitality highly regarded, but not essential.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.

• Prior experience with Commerce7 and/or Rezdy highly desirable.

• Must be able to regularly work weekends and holidays.
