Our company is a busy demolition company based in Brisbane. We operate throughout Queensland and currently have a position vacant for a hardworking, multi skilled demolition supervisor.

To be successful in this role you will need to be flexible, reliable, hardworking and a team player. You will be able to work unsupervised, plan and co-ordinate jobs from start to finish and work to tight deadlines.

Successful applicants will have a high level of interpersonal communication skills, be willing and able to complete paperwork, use apps to fill in forms and provide information from site to the office, have a high level of respect for machinery and a high regard for safety.

To secure this role you MUST be able to do the following:

  • Plan demolition sequencing and methodology
    • Prepare and review SWMS
    • Complete site paperwork
    • Co-ordinate resources for the project, e.g. machines, tools, trucks, labour
    • Carry out prestarts, toolbox talks, induct workers into SWMS
    • Ensure prestarts are carried out on machinery onsite
    • Work closely with project manager/estimator
    • Liaise with client and WHSQ inspectors when required
    • Assign tasks and supervise workers
    • Maintain tools and equipment and report any errors/faults
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures
    • Train and develop staff
    • General labouring duties as required from time to time
    • Be proactive especially with regards to WHS

    You will have the following experience/qualifications:

    At least 3 years’ experience supervising employees and projects and be able to provide references

    Preferably be already listed on a Qld Demolition PCBU licence or have the required competency units, experience and referees to be

    Proven demolition experience, including removal of asbestos

    Ability to supervise and manage employees and work as part of a team

    Good communication & consultation skills

    Competency in excavator operation, skid steer operation, oxy cutting, and chainsawing

    Friable Asbestos Certificate desirable

    First aid qualification desirable
