Responsibilities: – Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks. – Support clients in achieving their personal goals and promoting independence. – Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other support staff. – Document client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate personnel. – Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. – Ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Qualifications: – Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in disability support. – Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. – Strong communication and interpersonal skills. – Ability to work independently and as part of a team. – Compassionate and patient attitude towards individuals with disabilities. – Current First Aid and CPR certification.
