Job Role:

Factory Hand

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Factory Hand to join our manufacturing and production team in Dandenong South, Victoria. As a Factory Hand, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks in the factory, including cutting materials, painting products, performing general factory duties, and loading/unloading materials using a forklift. This entry-level position is suitable for individuals looking to gain experience in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities: (What you would be doing)

  • Assist with cutting materials according to specified measurements and requirements
  • Perform painting tasks on finished products following established guidelines
  • Carry out general factory duties such as cleaning work areas and organizing tools and equipment
  • Unload materials using a forklift safely and efficiently
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used and products completed

Skills: (Is this job for you?)

  • Basic knowledge of cutting tools and equipment (cold saw/band saw)
  • Familiarity with painting techniques would be advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks
  • Excellent time management skills

Qualifications:

  • Forklift license
  • No other formal qualifications are required for this role. However, completion of high school education or equivalent would be preferred.
