Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Playscapes Labourer to join our FIFO & our Local Team. The Playscapes Labourer is responsible for the construction, maintenance and repair of playgrounds and recreational facilities within daycare centers and schools. This role involves physical labour, the use of various tools and equipment and adherence to safety standards to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in constructing nature play spaces – decking, forts, bush huts, hand pump, water play, rocks, logs etc
• Support the installation of playground structures, timber elements and landscaping features
• Excavation and preparation of sub bases, mixing concrete
• Planting, spreading mulch and irrigation systems 
• Using a laser level
• Laying decking and paving 
• Assist with site preparation, digging, lifting and material handling
• Operate basic tools and machinery (training provided as needed)
• Maintain a clean and safe job site
• Follow safety guidelines and project plans
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet deadlines and quality standards

Qualifications:

• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in outdoor conditions
• Previous experience in construction, landscaping or similar field preferred but not required
• Reliable, punctual and motivated with a strong work ethic
• Ability to follow directions and work both independently and as part of a team
• White Card (Construction Induction) required
• Valid driver’s license
• Blue Card (Working with Children)
• Ability to travel.
