Position Overview

Are you a skilled Diagnostic or Service Technician ready to get hands-on with some of the toughest and smartest machines in the industry?

We’re on the lookout for passionate and experienced technicians to join our team across one of our 20 branch locations throughout NSW. In this role, you’ll work with the full spectrum of John Deere equipment – from lifestyle equipment and compact construction gear to powerful forestry machines and cutting-edge agricultural technology you will have access to the full John Deere range – any passionate service technician’s dream!

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

Working at Hutcheon and Pearce you will find yourself working on a variety of Construction, Forestry, and Agricultural Machinery both large and small, with changing seasons bringing different needs meaning you will often find yourself taking on new challenges and learnings.

  • Perform service, repairs and maintenance of all machinery and equipment (both in the workshop and in the field).
  • Diagnose and interpret machine faults to get our customers back up and running.
  • Manage and maintain service records for machinery.
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers and other service technicians.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Relevant trade qualifications: Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HV Diesel Mechanics), Agricultural Mechanical Technology, Mobile Plant Technology, Automotive Manufacturing, Fitter/Turner or other relevant experience and qualifications.
  • Current and valid driver’s licence
  • Organised with great attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Openness and a genuine curiosity to be skilled across a broad range of John Deere equipment.
