Boilermaker – NT

Our skilled workforce includes welders, boilermakers, painters, insulators, trade assistants, and mechanical fitters. We service a diverse range of clients, including prime defence contractors and commercial shipping companies. We are looking for a talented and experienced Boilermaker / Welders to join our DARWIN team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing welding using MIG, TIG and Stick methods as required
• Proven experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper nickel, aluminium and other exotics
• Deck repairs and replacements
• Watertight door and hatch installations
• Working with pipes, tanks, and other components
• Ensuring welds meet stringent quality standards and classification society requirements
• Following safe work practices and adhering to all safety protocols
• Contributing to a positive and productive team environment
• Working independently and as part of a team on various projects

To be Successful in this role you will need

• Proven experience as a Boilermaker / Fabricator in the marine industry or shipyard environments (desirable)
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
• Demonstrated expertise in aluminium welding using TIG and MIG processes
• Collaborating effectively in diverse teams and supporting safety culture
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• White card and Valid Driver’s license (essential)
• Must be able to obtain and hold a valid National Police Clearance for a Defence Common Access Card (DCAC)
