Position Overview:

As a Commercial Estimator at Watson Blinds, you will play a crucial role in our project management process. You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial projects, ensuring our clients receive the best solutions tailored to their needs. You will also work closely with the Company Director to align project goals and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.

• Collaborate with sales and project management teams to develop proposals that meet client requirements.

• Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.

• Maintain and update a database of costs and pricing for materials and labour.

• Provide clear and detailed estimates to clients, ensuring transparency and understanding.

• Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.

• Work closely with the Company Director to align project goals and strategies.

• Prepare tender submissions and attend tender interviews to represent the company and secure projects.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an estimator in the blinds, awnings, or construction industry.

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
