Finance Manager – Part-Time (3 Days) | Boutique Law Firm | Sydney CBD

We’re a dynamic and growing family law firm with offices across Sydney. As we expand, we’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of our finance function and help steer us through our next stage of growth.

This newly created, part-time role (3 days per week) is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys variety, autonomy, and meaningful work — with the flexibility to balance work and life.

Working closely with the Operations Manager and Managing Partner, you’ll:

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

• Oversee day-to-day transactions including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations

• Lead client billing and collections processes

• Prepare management reports and ensure compliance with GST, tax, and audit requirements

• Identify and implement process improvements and financial controls

This is a hands-on role that will suit someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially minded.

To be successfully considered for this role you will have;

• Proven experience in a similar role — ideally in a legal or professional services environment

• Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

• Excellent knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance obligations

• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, MYOB, or similar) and Excel

• A CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent experience)

• A collaborative, can-do attitude and strong communication skills
