Job Description – Plant Maintenance & Installation Technician
Reporting to: Plant Installation and Maintenance Supervisor
Role Purpose:
You’ll be primarily responsible for maintaining indoor and outdoor plant displays at a small number of office and hospitality client sites across central London. You’ll also occasionally support our growing installations team with setting up beautiful green schemes in offices, restaurants, bars, and private homes.
This role is required one full day per week for regular maintenance visits, with the option of an additional day per week to assist with plant installations or help in other areas of the business, depending on current needs.
Responsibilities:
• Care for indoor and outdoor plants across central London client sites (watering, pruning, feeding, removing dead leaves)
• Identify and treat pest issues and replace any plants that are unhealthy or have died
• Provide friendly and professional service to clients during site visits
• Assist with plant installation projects as needed — including transporting, positioning, and arranging plants in line with designs
• Log all visits and updates using our simple tracking tools
• Work safely, efficiently, and respectfully in all environments
About You:
• Friendly, reliable, and self-motivated
• Passionate about plants — basic plant knowledge helpful (full training provided)
• Comfortable working independently and proactively
• Confident navigating London via public transport and on foot
• Physically able to lift and carry plants and watering equipment as required
• Experience in plant care, installations, horticulture, hospitality, or customer service is a plus
• Well-organised and punctual
