About the Role:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for showcasing the power of Streem to media teams across New Zealand. Media teams in large corporate and government departments are looking to move away from legacy systems and time-consuming processes. We aim to fix that by offering a modern, real-time solution that enables them to do their job more effectively. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue, and building strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new sales of Streem’s real-time media monitoring platform;
- Grow and nurture leads from a highly targeted market of PR, Communications and Media Managers and their respective organisations;
- Cross-sell new SaaS tools and services;
- Work with Streem’s existing BDM and Account Management team to support and transition new customers;
Skills & Qualifications:
- Australian permanent residency or Australian citizenship (i.e. unrestricted working rights);
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a B2B Sales position;
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Communications/Media/Public Relations, or another relevant field are preferred;
- Strong customer-facing skills with a focus on solution-selling and genuine relationship-building, and the ability to take initiative and adapt to changing situations;
- A strong interest in SaaS platforms and/or media/communications, and a demonstrated background in subscription/technology/digital based product sales
- Strong ability to speak compellingly over the phone and present via screen share;
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with prospects and clients;
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills;
- Keen personal interest in the Australian Media Landscape;
- Media/news/content experience is highly advantageous.
