STONE is a Melbourne based manufacturer of high quality architectural pre-cast concrete products. We are a privately owned company that has been trading for more than 25 years.

This is a rewarding position with room to develop your skills in all aspects of the manufacturing process. The successful candidate will be trained in various roles with opportunities to develop in their preferred area or to a leadership role .

*Job tasks and responsibilities

This is a hands –on role leadership role involving supervision of the team responsible for mould preparation, batching, pouring, and materials handling. This area of the plant has some new automated machinery.

Being a part of the production of STONE concrete products. This is a busy and often physical role suited to someone who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty. You will need to :

• Operate and trouble shoot custom machinery

• Be familiar with OH& S systems and requirements

• Have leadership experience

• Care about quality

• Interact with administration and other teams

• Physically strong and capable

• Maintain a clean workspace

• Show initiative and take ownership of the role

• Forklift driving experience is an advantage

• Have strong practical and mechanical skills

This position would suit a fit self-starter who would come with leadership experience in a manufacturing, machine operating or leadership labouring/concreting role. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and quality. This job involves heavy lifting and there are some manual tasks where you may get dirty and/or wet.

The successful candidate will receive full training in all aspects of production. They must be prepared to be flexible – willing to learn and take part in all functions of the manufacturing process.
